How to prep Pizza coloring pages

Prepping this activity couldn’t be simpler!

  • Step 1 : Download and print out your free printable pizza coloring pages.
  • Step 2 : Put out some crayons, markers or colored pencils.
  • Step 3 : If you are planning to do the cutting and gluing activity as well (see below), then also put out some scissors and a glue stick.

5 Ways to Use a Pizza coloring sheet with an autistic learner

  1. Color to build fine motor skills.
  2. Cut out the whole pizza, the slice of pizza, the pizza roller and the pizza toppings to build cutting skills.
  3. Have your little one cut out each topping and glue it onto the pizza or slice of pizza.
  4. Teach colors by asking your little learner to color each item using a specific color.
  5. Build matching skills by printing out 2 copies of the pizza coloring pages and asking your child or students to match the images.

Pizza pictures to color

The free printable pizza coloring pages PDF includes :

  • A whole pizza
  • A slice of pizza
  • A pizza roller
  • 6 pizza toppings (pepper, tomato, mushroom, pepperoni, zucchini and cheese)

Pizza slice coloring page activity

One of the activities in the free printable packet is a pizza slice printable. This activity is really fun to color but also to use to discuss toppings and teach even more vocabulary words, such as “tomato”, “pepper”, “pepperoni”, “cheese” and “mushroom”.

You can also have your little one color the pizza toppings, cut them out and glue them on the pizza to work on cutting skills and gluing skills.

For larger whole items like the zucchini, salami and wedge of cheese, why not have your child or student “slice” them by cutting up the image before gluing it onto the slice of pizza for added fun and more opportunities to build fine motor and cutting skills.
