Make a hot chocolate sensory bin and increase sensory play
I love a good sensory box! I use them in my programs with children with autism all the time.
This cute and simple hot chocolate sensory bin is a great way to teach new skills through sensory play at Christmas.
All you need are a handful of simple materials to set up the sensory box. Black lentils, cotton balls, a plastic or tin cup or mug, a box and you’re on your way.
Work on vocabulary words, such as the colors (brown, white), hot chocolate, marshmallows, box, Christmas, hot, cold, etc.

Go outside and engage your littles in Winter outdoor play
There are so many fun things to do outside during the Winter.
Go sledding, run around, make snowballs, go for a nature walk or go ice skating. The possibilities for fun, Winter outdoor play are endless!
Bundle up your little one and go out to play this Christmas season. Outdoor play is fun, has health benefits, can increase opportunities for social interaction and has the added bonus of tiring kids out (meaning they will sleep even better)!
These are all of my favorite Winter outdoor activities. Choose a few to enjoy this holiday season.
