Happy Monday readers!
To start off this beautiful new week, I am sharing my favorite activities for learning colors with your little ones.
Rainbow pinch pots
This activity for making rainbow pinch pots : beautiful little cups in different colors, is wonderful for teaching your child the different colors, engaging your child in a fun, sensory activity and building fine motor skills and strength. You can also use alphabet stamps to label each pot by color.
Car parking & color matching
All you need to create this adorable activity are some mini cars (these fabulous wooden racing cars are my favorites!), two wooden trays
, paper and markers. Your child will learn to park the car by matching the color.
Make hungry color monsters
Your child is sure to love feeding these hungry, wiggly eyed monsters while sorting their favorite little toys by color! Collect your child’s favorite small toys. Cut a large hole out of the front of several large water bottles and label each bottle a specific color. Have your child sort the different items by color. (Funny monster noises not optional!)
These activities are sure to provide your child with lots of color sorting fun! Try these activities and tell me about your experience in the comments below!
