Summer is just around the corner and that means … it’s time to start thinking about making homemade ice cream!
We all know the classic flavors : chocolate, vanilla, strawberry. Don’t get me wrong – I heart these flavors too. But why not try something a little bit different this Summer?
Children with autism often like interesting flavors and can be quite specific in what they enjoy – all green foods, terribly salty foods, spicy food… you get the picture!
It’s always fun to try something new – for both parents and kids. This Summer, why not give tahini honey caramel ice cream, lavender goat cheese ice cream or raspberry ripple coconut ice cream a try?!
As an added bonus, making homemade ice cream with your little one is a sensory activity, promotes functional like skills and also builds fine motor strength! 🙂 Win – win for sure.
3 of my must-try this Summer ice cream flavors :
Tahini ice cream with honey caramel from Butter Lust Blog.
Lavender, blackberry & goat cheese ice cream from The Kitchen McCabe.
Raspberry ripple coconut ice cream from Minimalist Baker.
Enjoy! Oh, and let me know which favor is your favorite! ♥
