It’s starting to get a little bit warmer and Spring is in the air here in Paris!
This means smoothie season is on it’s way… Yay!
I love making smoothies with the kids at my learning house, Le Chemin ABA, for several reasons.
1.Smoothie recipes are easy to follow and require few ingredients.
2.When making a smoothie, we can use a simple 2 or 3 step visual schedule to plan out the activity and show the kids what steps they need to follow with photos.
3.Smoothies are quick to make. Plan the ingredients, put the ingredients in the blender, push a button and – voilà! – the smoothie is ready!
4.Smoothies are (depending on the ingredients!) healthy. We always use fresh, organic ingredients for our smoothies.
5.Smoothies introduce children to new flavors in an easy to drink way.
6.Using the blender helps children who are sensitive to noise overcome their sensory sensitivities in a fun and reinforcing way.
7.Smoothies are delicious!
Here are 3 of my favorite smoothie recipes!
Peanut butter & banana smoothie
This delicious recipe is from LMLD.
Cinnamon roll smoothie
This fabulous recipe is from Family Fresh Meals.
Banana & honey smoothie
This yummy recipe is from Baker By Nature.
What kinds of smoothies do you make? Are you going to try these recipes? Do you have a favorite kind of smoothie? I would love to hear from you! ♥
