My Cute Kitsch Surprises!

It was a very special day at my learning house today!

I recently ordered a surprise box from CUTE KITSCH, created by my fellow blogger friend Kasia at The Crafty Mummy blog. She blogs from Ireland and I love every one of her posts. She features all kinds of awesome DIY projects, as well as lovely photos of her growing family (Kasia is due with her second child next week!).

My CUTE KITSCH BOX arrived in the mail today. I was working upstairs at my desk, updating children’s learning programs, when the doorbell rang. I was so excited to open my box and discover the treasures inside.

Each box features a variety of surprises which can include : fun accesories, stationary, little bits & bobs and at least 1 HANDMADE ITEM PER BOX! How cool is that?! I love the idea of receiving something that was personally handcrafted just for YOU every month.

There were lots of surprises just for me (adorable fox stud earrings, different ribbons, various colorful materials for my many projects, to name a few) but one surprise stood out as something that I could share with my kiddos. It was the HANDMADE SURPRISE!

I loved everything in my box but my favorite surprise was my HANDMADE TEACUP! As you know, I do a lot of symbolic play activities with my kids at my learning house. In the past, I have written about creating a DIY play shop, DIY hardware store, gas pump and rocket ship and DIY pretend pasta, chocolate chip cookies & sponge cake! This darling teacup was an absolutely delightful addition to our symbolic play materials and I couldn’t wait to try it out with my little ones!

The kids took the teacup outside with them today when it was time to water the plants. They also brought our favorite HEMA dolls and some IKEA finger puppet princesses. We decided to have a mini garden tea party!

Upon opening my box, I was especially touched by the handwritten note I received from Kasia. Thank you to Kasia & the CUTE KITSCH team for my amazing box!

Happy Friday my friends! ♥
