Yesterday, I shared my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe with you. My husband and I have been enjoying the cookies we made yesterday after coming back from the Marché d’Aligre. You can read about our market adventures and get our cookie recipe here.
There are several ways to decorate cookies and these are my favorite, creative and unexpected ways to make your cookies beautiful! You can make these with your children as a fun family project.
Salt dough cookie stamp
One very creative mom thought to make homemade cookie stamps from salt dough! Salt dough is easy to make and entirely natural. A fantastic project that even young kids can participate in.
Embossed rolling pin
An embossed rolling pin is a wonderful tool for creating fun patterns on your cookies! You can find many different options available for sale on Etsy and Amazon.
I’ve selected some of my favorites! (Click on photos for links)

Decorating with doilies
I think this is such a great idea for decorating your cookies! Use a thick crocheted doily and once you’ve prepared your dough, place the doily on your dough and use a rolling pin to push the doily into the dough, leaving a beautiful imprint.
You can try all of these fun ideas with the most fabulous sugar cookie recipe from In Katrina’s Kitchen.
I would love to hear about your cookie decorating adventures in the comments below! ♥
