Hi friends, it’s back to school!
We have just returned to Paris after a 3 week vacation in the French countryside. It was aaamazing! It was such a blessing to have some time off to enjoy with my husband and our two special pups. July was so busy at my learning house and it was awesome to have the month of August to relax, cook, eat gelato and read in the garden.
We just got back to Paris and I am so excited for this upcoming school year! This is going to be the best school year ever. Who’s with me?! That goes for you homeschooling moms, you moms that are bringing your kids back to school for a new school year this Thursday (Parisian moms!) and you moms all over the world that are part of this lovely community and have already started school or will be starting school soon. I would love to hear when your little one is going back to school in the comments section!
We are back in Paris, still enjoying warm weather and my mind is going a mile a minute as I try to keep up with all of the ideas I have for this upcoming school year for you, my wonderful blog friends, this blog, my ABA classroom and my beautiful Skype clients all over the world that I have the pleasure of connecting with on a regular basis. I am always on the lookout for anything and everything that I can share with you to make your lives happier, better and more rewarding for your kiddos with special needs. Eventhough I was on vacation from writing, I was collecting and listing new resources, materials and ideas that are going to help us make this year the BEST.YEAR.YET! I am so excited to share my list of ideas with you over the next few months.
To get this back to school party started, I am sharing some of my favorite back to school links right here, right now so you can enjoy a fun art activity with your little one, a nutritious breakfast recipe and a back to school photo tradition.
This apple stamping activity is fun and a cute nod at the upcoming Fall weather and apple-picking season. Why stop at apples? Learn how you can have stamping fun using lemons, celery and even brussel sprouts!
I love blueberries! They’re full of nutrients and this smoothie is perfect for starting a new day – perfect for mom and dad and the kids. Blueberries will give your child that extra brain boost that is necessary for a productive day at school (at school or at homeschool).
I love first day of school pictures. I love the idea of taking one each year and displaying them at home – watching your collection grow year after year. There are so many challenges with autism that sometimes it’s easy to forget to take time for family traditions such as these. This is a new school year tradition that I encourage homeschooling families to keep too. How lovely to mark a special day as the beginning of the new learning year and have a special photo to mark the event.
How are you getting ready for back to school? Let me know! I would love to hear from you.
